  2. yes, meditation is great! and TM is unique among forms of meditation. i appreciate this video, and how the lady suggested that anyone who wants to learn the facts about TM go to an introductory lecture. there is much misinformation about the practice disseminated on the internet. the mantras cited in this vodeo, for example, really are mantras but are not the ones most effective for maximum success, health and happiness in daily life, according to Maharishi and the Vedic tradition. some good websites are: www.DoctorsOnTM.org, www.tmeducation.org

  3. Nice video. This lady is very sweet and had great respect for the traditions of India. I learned TM many years ago and its great. I learned at a TM center and got personal training. It has done me wonders! I was a little confused by the comments in the video about mantras. My understanding is that many of the mantras you hear about in new age circles are not beneficial for most people. That's what I like about TM they give you total personal attention and a life time of free follow up sessions to make sure you stay on track. Namaste!

  4. Really nice video, I really appreciate anyone who sincerely endorses meditation. I personally really like Transcendental Meditation, which I have been doing for many years. I just want to clarify something: with TM we do not really “focus” on anything. TM is actually completely effortless and thus allows the mind to reach the deep state of restful alertness that increases health, creativity, longevity, etc.. And that’s what to me is so wonderful about the technique, that it is so effortless and can be done by anyone, adults children, professionals, religious people, anyone, but at the same time it is so effective.

  5. Thanks, Cindy, for your video recommending meditation. I learned TM in 1971. And still practice it every day. When I learned I had so many questions:
-What do I do when this happens?
-How do I handle that situation?
My TM Teacher made the whole process so easy and effortless.

  6. TM involves no focus and there is no goal during the practice.

  7. Unfortunately, no society is perfect. Speak to any social worker about poverty and injustice. Each social worker receives a "bird's eye" view of social injustice. Over the years, I have taught many social workers in my Yoga classes. It is apparent that they came to Yoga class as a sanctuary.
